Bowen Therapy Treatments
Addressing the whole body
Table Treatments
Relaxing the body for optimum treatment
Bowen Therapy is traditionally performed with the client lying on their front first and then part-way through the treatment they move to lying on their back. Table Bowen helps the body to be more at rest, with most muscles not being utilised.

Seated Treatments
Catering to your bodies conditions.
Bowen Therapy can be performed while you are seated. For those who find it hard to lay down on their back or front, this is for you. This is ideal for pregnancy.

Mobile Treatments
We can come to you.
Many Clients utilise the mobile treatment method as they do not drive, are home bound, have had recent surgery or are in the last stages of pregnancy. The Clinic has a folding table and chair allowing the practitioner to come to you.
There are a few requirements that need to be taken into consideration.
The area needs to be clean and free from hazards.
The front doorway and treatment area needs to be clear and large enough for a table to be assembled.
Any indoor animals need to be out of the room for the treatment session.
Mobile visits incur an extra $10 fee around Melton areas.
For greater distances please enquire as to additional cost.

Under 18 Treatments
Bowen Therapy is great for all ages.
From babies who have had a traumatic birth, to hip, knee and ankle disfunctions, growth conditions to general sporting/adventure mishaps and a lot more.
Things to consider when making an appointment;
Go over what will happen during the treatment process before you arrive.
Make sure the client is wearing clean light clothing if possible, (they may not be comfortable having the treatment in their underwear).
A parent/ guardian must be with them throughout the whole treatment time. (If you leave the room to take a call or visit the bathroom - your under 18 will go with you).
Threatments will not be performed on the client that is crying/ doesn't consent, is overly anxious about the treatment. I endevour to make everyone feel comfortable and well informed about what will happen throughout the session but if they resist the treatment, I will stop and not continue till they are happy for me to do so.
If there is something that would make the client more at ease - such as a toy, music, sibling, please bring this along.

Feel Better  -  Live Better

What to expect
You will be greeted at the door and led into the treatment room. You can relax on the raised couch while we fill out some paperwork and establish exactly why you have come for treatment today.
There is a desk, filing cabinet and linen shelf. The treatment table is in the middle of the room, or if you have trouble lying down we can utilise the seated treatment chair.
We will perform some movements to assess your range of movement, pain level and which muscles, ligaments and tendons have been affected.
Bowen is best performed directly on skin, suitable undergarments must be worn at all times or light clothing- such as a cotton singlet and loose shorts. Towels can be draped over you to keep you comfortable.
Now relax on the treatment table while the "Bowen" moves are applied.
These are mostly gentle, some may need more force - such as those used on the larger muscles, eg; hamstrings.
Within the treatment there will be small pause times in which your body takes in the movements that were performed. These rest times are important for the messages to be received by your body.
At the end of the hands-on treatment time, you may be given exercises and recommendations to practice at home for faster recovery. Please do these to optimise your healing.
